Photographer Norah Wells celebrates within her work the human form and femininity away from the male gaze, and creating a fantasy land through clothing and colour. Together with model Bodhi Genis, they created this new visual story for today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘Utopia‘.
This series is dedicated to a utopian world where women can walk freely topless without their bodies being sexualized. For centuries women have fallen under the male gaze, particularly when being photographed by men. I see my work as a way of celebrating form and natural feminine beauty, and deconstructing the sexual labels that women have been forced to carry in order to be photographed topless or naked.
