Czech dream pop duo Teepee meets Danish electronic duo BYLJA. Even when it’s impossible to travel due to the Coronavirus restrictions, borders don’t seem to exist in the online world. These two duos met over a Zoom call this fall to connect their creative minds. teepee’s soulful vocal harmonies met with BYLJA’s beautiful organic electronic sounds and thus this chill electronica remix of Running Around was created.
It was 14 days, 11 gigs, 7 countries – seems unthinkable with another wave of lockdown, but that’s exactly how teepee were spending their time at the beginning of this year, enjoying their biggest European tour up to date while supporting British Seafret and promoting their new album Where the Ocean Breaks.
Now, they are sharing a tour video along with a new remix as a reflection of this year’s only tour and thanks to their fans for the continued support throughout this turbulent year.

“It really gives us chills to watch this footage. We can’t wait to play in clubs again and hope this will happen soon! Concerning the upcoming year we have quite a lot of plans as we are planning the release of the remix EP and also some new singles. We are truly looking forward to reuniting with the whole band after almost a half year long break and working on new music” add teepee.
“We wanted to take elements from the original track and use them to emphasize the melancholic vibe we felt from the guitar and dreamy vocals. We did this by texturizing some fragments of the lyrics through granular synthesis and a modular synthesizer, and by BYLJA-fying the melodic elements with spherical Prophet-6 pads, a developing FM-arpeggio in focus, and a deep and warm Moog bass” explains the Danish duo BYLJA.
