Musically, the Montreal based band, The Neighborhood Watch, are definitely trying something new. With an indie rock vibe and raspy vocals, so much of how they create power in their music is with a balance between those two dynamics. They went down a different track this time throwing a bunch of vocal layers under lead vocals on the new track, and bringing up the energy some horns. A fun foray into raising the stakes in terms of their production, not just songwriting. All in all, this is definitely a band to watch out for in the coming years as they strengthen and hone their sound around the energy it brings – definitely the kind of band that can bring it live!
“‘Focus Up‘ was a natural first single for our upcoming album. It’s easy to play and we have fun with it. We started every band practice with it because this song gave us confidence and got us into the music. Hopefully it’ll do the same for you.” Says, the Band.
