Today we have the new single release from Omahrose titled ‘Budapest‘! When contemplating this new single, she had this to say:
“The only certainty, perhaps, is that things will always change. Yet, how do we live in the constant flux? What does it mean to be when nothing can ever stay still – when everything ends?”
These are the questions Omahrose asks of us with her music. To love or to not be loved, to be safe or to be scared – within the knotted harmonies of her silken voice we hear these propositions weighed, doubted and asserted. Scared or sacred? You choose.
Over the course of five years, three EPs and countless live iterations, Omahrose has woven the pained intimacy of soul with the self-assured swag of hip-hop, the sweat-slick of R&B with the poetics of the soul.
