Photographer Kleber José Jr. and model Karen Souza teamed up for today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘Trapped Soul‘.
My name is Kleber José Junior, I am a photographer, teacher, born in Soure – Marajó Island – PA, I am 25 years old and I started to develop the work with portrait photography 7 years ago, through the need to self-portray myself and understand human behavior and its sociocultural demands. The development of my work goes beyond aesthetics, since everything consists of a form of rescue of the subject being portrayed.
These photos are part of a project called “trapped soul”, where I try to portray naked people, emphasizing the textures of the skin with light, enabling various expressions. The project aims to show with richness the details of the human body as a form of expression and art, showing that we can use our bodies to communicate without having to hypersexualize them.
About Model: Karen Souza is an Amazonian black female artist.
