Julia’s work is a reclamation of sensuality, subverting the male gaze to center a femme consciousness of intimacy and desire. Her photography shows femininity & sexuality from a woman’s perspective, depicting women in control of their sexuality and their own pleasure. Not for the pleasure of others or through the lens of the male gaze. Most of this new series is a collection of self-portraits.
