Wroclaw, dolnoslaskie, Poland-based photographer Lukasz Spychala and model Alicja Siedlecka teamed up for today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘Emptiness‘.
This new series of photos tells about the loneliness that devours us from the inside. About an empty house and about the ghosts of the past that keep coming back. The weight of these feelings is so heavy that it presses us suddenly, and it is hard to get out from under it, and thus we are constantly and still powerless in motionlessness. There are no rules for the emerging feeling of emptiness. We can be surrounded by wonderful people, we can be successful, and this overwhelming feeling can slowly devour us from the inside like rust.
Lukasz is a 27-year-old whose favorite types of photography are feminine portraits and nudes, in which he specializes. He loves naturalness and highlights his work by capturing the female body in all forms. The basis for creating his photos is form and light. He doesn’t deal with photography professionally, but it is his greatest passion. Constantly looking for his way in it and trying to make each photo the best one. In analog photography, he was captivated by the process of creating an image, celebrating a ritual related to film development, as well as the unpredictability of the final result. He takes photos using the traditional Japanese medium format camera, Mamiya RB67 Pro-S.
