‘WHAT IF I DON’T’ THE NEW MUSIC SINGLE FROM ‘SHAYLEN’

The Nashville-based country artist Shaylen has released her latest single, the powerful and dynamic “What If I Don’t.” Co-written by Shaylen, Seth Ennis, Phil Barton and Lindsay Rimes, and produced by Ilya Toshinskiy (Jimmie Allen, Riley Green) and Lindsay Rimes (Thomas Rhett, LoCash), “What If I Don’t” marks for a foundational release in Shaylen’s authentic and preferred musical genre of country following a slew of pop EPs and singles with Republic Records that accumulated tens-of-millions of streams.

“Being a Tennessee/Texas girl, country music has always been home for me,” shares Shaylen. “It’s always been my feel-good place and I decided that it’s time to focus on making art and writing songs that genuinely serve my true self. I simply want to be the most authentic version of myself and it’s so nice to just come home and lean into that freedom. It’s incredible that when you get on the path that’s meant for you, everything starts to fall into place emotionally, musically and spiritually. Being able to dive into the wonderful Nashville songwriting community, I’m finally able to tell my story in a way that I am proud of.”
Born in Chattanooga TN, raised in Dallas, TX and currently living in Nashville following a decade in Los Angeles, Shaylen is a powerhouse vocalist and songwriter that has had music living in her soul since she was a child performing in church.  Shaylen will continue releasing new country singles throughout 2022.
