Boise, Idaho-based artist/photographer Barry Barnes and model Ash Haze teamed up for today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘The Nutcracker‘.
These shots are from the second time Barry worked with California model, Ash Haze. They had picked a few props from their studio and sent Ash some sketches of what they had in mind, in front of the camera she, of course, made it better. Since the petticoat Barry had was too small for her, it reminded everyone of the look of a tutu.
“That along with the confident attitude Ash conveyed in the shots had me referring to the set as “The Nutcracker””
Barry Barnes is an illustrator, designer, photographer, and printmaker through his company, Trained Eye Graphics. Barry has worked extensively with publishers, designing cover art and supporting collateral for a range of authors in mu ltiple genres. His portfolio also features work for commercial consumer clients. Barry has exhibited in the US and Canada, including the Los Angeles Society of Illustrator’s annual Illustration West exhibit. His work can be found in the collections of the United States Air Force, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and in magazines, professional directories, and annuals, including Graphis Photography Annuals 2017 to 2023, Graphis Nudes 5 and Creativity 39.
