Photographer, Huck Broyles is a lifelong artist with a passion for Art Nude/Fashion photography and Map Making. He has a passion for creating compelling and unique images, and is captivated by the human figure and form. He has most recently been exploring the relationship between the human body and the natural landscapes around us. Huck enjoys capturing the ‘experience’ of place, and would like to capture that sense of place in both urban and natural environments.
When it comes to photographing people, he believes the nude human body is the absolute most beautiful subject. He finds clothing to be distracting from the beauty of the model (when the purpose of the photo is Not Fashion Photography). Every body is different and yet every body is uniquely beautiful and personal.
For today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘Body Map’ was Inspired by his experience with GIS (Geographic Information Systems),
“I wanted to visually convey the human landscape as that of a topographic map, using contour lines to emphasize the body’s natural curvatures. Essentially I wanted to create a contour map of the human body. With that being said, the body paint design was not implemented as though our bodies were the natural landscape, however I still wanted to use the painted line-work to create a visually engaging images.”
