Fan Wu, is a photographer based in Hong Kong and New York. She is drawn to things that are subtle and express a sense of melancholia. For her, beauty is never the obvious; it’s like a smell of a familiar fragrance on the street, but you don’t know who it is. It’s uncertain, sensitive, intimate and thought provoking. Sometimes the most beautiful things she’s found have a hint of sadness to them. She believes everyone has an aura and her photography is like a faint memory that connects and resonates with the people who understand.
