Mirrors is a day festival taking place at the same time of when the leaves fall down on the ground. The range of genres is pretty broad – reaches from pop to floaty dream pop like Hoopes play.
A highlight for me for sure was seeing Cherry Glazerr that was real fun vibes. The singer got a bit freaky due to taking off her pants, showing her bum to the audience – but why the hell not ~ we got personal rights yes?
Allah-Las was another top act that I saw from the Saint Johns (church) balcony. The band with their floaty surfy tunes were warming a lot of people’s souls there!
The sound was pretty good also for Billy Ryder Jones, from Arctic Monkeys playing with his band.He clearly had fun on stage.
All bands were pretty well suited to each the venue playing in. The more in time Moth Club fitter Hoopes perfectly. The glitter in their backs transported the sweetness of their songs.
All in all, I’ve got to say it seemed to have been a day and the audience have been enjoying themselves in Hackney.
