Today we have something really amazing for all our NAKID readers, the new music video premiere for Forever, titled, ‘Heaven’s Mouth‘! Directed by artist Emmett Rose aka Jessica Simps who started the political movements VOTES4NUDES and Tramps Against Trump. Forever recently spun through our radar and has been filling our ears with slow jams that take you on soul-driven enigma’s of rhythm, a truly dreamy sound with striking glimmers of a beat that make you wanna dance all the way to seductive hooks that keep you singing the same song all day long. It’s not surprising, Canada dishes out so many musical genius’, but Forever clearly has the potential to stand out on her own, and with singles like ‘Heaven’s Mouth’, it’s clear the young artist is maturing quickly and her sound is growing with every release, a year from now watch out!
Also out recently by Forever is a tape and vinyl version of the record, both are limited edition and the vinyl is a collaboration with The Vinyl Factory VF Editions (Daft Punk, Massive Attack, The xx), which is pretty fucking awesome, especially in this digital day-n-age. Forever is an artist currently living, recording, and performing in Montreal. The debut, selftitled Forever EP, co-produced with Project Pablo and released by London based record label Olympia Records, was met with online adulation, being featured positively by everyone from Gorilla vs. Bear and Noisey to Wonderland and The 405. After the debut single ‘Every Second’ was streamed over 30,000 times on Soundcloud, BBC Radio 1 premiered the second single ‘Heaven’s Mouth’ on Phil Taggart’s show and Spotify quickly picked it up for playlisting across the world. After performing in London and at Berlin’s infamous Berghain with ABRA, Forever returned to the stage with a stand out sets at POP Montreal 2016 and SXSW 2017. Not just content with releasing records, Forever also cofounded Montreal feminist art collective Girl’s Club and has a monthly show called Flip Phone Forever on Arbutus Records’ N10.as radio.
