MIDDLELANDS ~ May 5 – May 7

Middlelands Fest might be the newest festival in the list, but it certainly has all the credentials needed to become the biggest EDM fest in the Lonestar state. From festival guru’s C3 and Insomniac Events, Middlelands is bringing you a class A line up at a very affordable price. Legends like Kaskade, Major Lazer, Bassnectar and Crystal Castles will be blessing the stage along with mega producers Marshmellow, ZHU and Gallantis. JMBLYA  MAY 5 – MAY 6

 JMBLYA is no stranger to the Texas Markets, the Scoremore presented fest is already a legendary yearly event that the youngins await insatiately all year long. They have always managed to bring the best national Hip Hop acts to the south and this year is no different.  2017 performers include the newly announced headliner Chance the Rapper, a Grammy-nominated Chicago-born rapper who is also slated to perform at some of this summer’s biggest music festivals including Bonnaroo and Governor’s Ball. Other JMBLYA acts include a highly curated selection of hip-hop and EDM performers that blend together some of today’s biggest national acts with exciting up-and-comers, like DJ/producer Steve Aoki, as well as 6LBACK, Young Dolph, andPell, as well as acts like DFW’s own Snow Tha Product and more.

June 3 – June 4

Free Press Summer Fest is by far the most multifaceted in the list, with a line up dedicated to the all genre-loving music rebels. The lineup is probably one of the best to hit Texas in years, with Lorde, Solange, Flume and Portugal the Man amongst the talent and taking place during the first days of June. When the winds blow comfortably and the sun is shining just bright enough, it is just the most ideal fest weather season in Texas.

NEON DESERT

May 27 – May 28

Neon Desert is truly unique in that it not only showcases national headlining hip-hop, EDM, and indie talent, but it also plays a real tribute to the Latin heritage of the host town El Paso and its diverse residents.

Taking place over 15 city blocks in the heart of downtown El Paso, encompassing two city parks, Cleveland Square Park and San Jacinto Plaza, Neon Desert Music Festival will proudly welcome headlining performances from EDM heavyweight and one of the most in demand DJ’s in the world, Hardwell. Hardwell’s high-energy performance is sure to keep the party going all weekend long, along with the Grammy-nominated indie pop band Foster the People, who are currently working on the highly anticipated follow-up to their critically-acclaimed 2014 album, Supermodel.
Additional 2017 headliners include Colombian R&B singer J Balvin, whose single “Ginza” off of his 2016 album, Energía, broke the record for most views of any Latin music video in the first 24 hours; and internationally renowned DJ and producer, Alesso, who has been heralded as the forerunner of the next generation of house music; as well as rapper/producer and self-described “Young Sinatra,” Logic, who will bring his signature brand of introspective, thoughtful rap to the weekend-long bash.

FORTRESS FEST

April 29 – April 30

The inaugural Fortress Festival looks to offer both local residents and music-lovers from across the country an incredible music lineup featuring internationally acclaimed headliners alongside some of today’s hottest up-and-coming music acts, as well as a variety of local artists and boundary-testing musical pioneers. Taking place in the highly respected Cultural District of Fort Worth and in partnership with the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, the festival will also feature two stages—one on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center and another on the reflecting pond at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
