Scottish singer-songwriter and musician, Nina Nesbitt has unveiled the official video for her latest single, “Loyal To Me.” Both the track and the music video channel a very subtle 90’s R&B female empowerment. In a pink fantasy look, the music video was directed by Debbie Scanlan and starts Nina and two amazing dancers. The choreography is seriously one of our favorites we’ve seen this year, the attitude and the accents make a statement that enforces the lyrical style of the track, and showcase Nina’s talents like we’ve not seen before.
Since its release last week, “Loyal To Me” has accumulated over 2 million streams worldwide, bringing her total combined streams to over 100 million to date. The song is an empowering, no-nonsense pop anthem with a digital twist, urging love-sick listeners to take the reins both on-and-off-line. “If he never wants you to meet his friends. Take your heart and turn it around while you still can.” Taken from her forthcoming album, “Loyal To Me” was written by Nina and produced by Fraser T Smith (Adele, Sam Smith, Florence and The Machine, Drake) and has quickly become a fan favorite in her live shows. According to Nina, “’Loyal To Me’ is influenced by the independent-women spirit of the 90s and is a self-help guide to dating.”
