Photographer Erin Naifeh shot this self portrait series for us in today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘Alone‘.

Erin tells us:

“I discover myself through my photography. Just myself, in a small room, with my camera. What an intimate, terrifying thing it is – being alone in front of a possibility. Where my thoughts are the loudest. My face, my body are just tools. I’m the object not the subject. Because, the real picture is something I can’t see. It’s something I feel.”

Erin Naifeh (they/them) is a Lebanese artist specializing in photography and directing based in Los Angeles, CA. Erin started their career in the movie industry as a camera assistant. They became a member of the ICG in 2012. Erin has worked on award winning features and tv shows as a 1st assistant camera for the past 10 years. After 10 years in the business, they began to pursue their beloved passion for for storytelling through photography and directing. What makes Erin unique is their natural curious nature to go under the surface and dive deeper into a particular vision. They trust in their process and connection to source. They always ask this question to themselves: “what’s under the surface?”
