Creating chaotic balance is an art form according to multimedia artist Eddy Bogaert, whom was one of our first artists featured here on Nakid and based in New York. In celebration of the New York community Eddy invites you to show your support for the local art scene, with a crowd fundraising movement. Eddy has dedicated his life to his craft and to the art community, and now we are asking for your help. In order to continue to create, curate exhibitions and build his brand, funding is desperately needed. Your help will go towards buying paint, canvases, 3D glasses, black lights, resin, and respirators. We are asking for donations (big or small) to help the cause. For donations of certain value, Eddy will create you a personal thank you, ranging from a t-shirt, through to an original painting, or jazz up your favorite pair of sneakers with his signature touch. Five percent of all proceeds raised will go towards WhiteBox Charity foundation, which aims to support local artists and gives them a platform to showcase their work. The charity offers diverse programs to nurture community growth for individuals who would otherwise not have the means to support their passion. Eddy has exhibited his work nationally including the Hampton’s, Manhattan and Brooklyn, and been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Nakid magazine, and Culture Mag. He draws inspiration from nightlife, lust, desire, and popculture. His paintings are interactive and have discreet subliminal messages, which can only be seen under certain lighting conditions. Eddy has brought the concept of 3D into his paintings adding dimensions and layers, making his pieces dynamic and alluring.
