It’s hard to believe Julian Charles picked up a guitar only 3 years ago, and now his song Bad Decisions has over 80k plays on Soundcloud. At the ripe age of 20, Julian has all the components of being our new favorite sad boy music provider (think Jesse Rutherford of The Neighbourhood, with some added folk and r&b sounds). His music is heavily influenced by his own life experiences, and you can feel the authenticity when listening to his tracks. It feels personal. Make no mistake- Julian is no rookie when it comes to music, he’s been playing the drums since he was 6 years old, which can account for the killer rhythm featured in his songs. While he says he’s still trying to find his sound, we can expect visuals and an EP coming from him within the next year. Until then, you can indulge in his playlist ‘II’.
