‘IN MY OWN COMFORT’ A NEW VISUAL STORY BY PHOTOGRAPHER ‘IMMIGRANT STONER’

Seattle-based photographer Immigrant Stoner and model Nina Katashvili teamed up for today’s exclusive NAKID feature editorial titled, ‘In My Own Comfort‘.

“This shoot was a celebration of being comfortable in your own body and not being shy about it. Nina (the model) and I met each other 12 years ago in high school, we were both young, and wild but full of insecurities. Growing up in a third-world country where men felt like they were entitled to things like constantly commenting on women’s bodies and appearance, whether it was tattooed, body shape, face, body hair, or anything that young girls can be insecure about… We came a long way since then working on our self-esteem, overcoming unhealthy habits, and being happy with ourselves. It was a breath of fresh air to meet Nina in the USA and see her happy, flourishing, and owning her unapologetic self. We decided to do a little shoot in her New York apartment beside her favorite companions-plants. We sparked up some joints to also celebrate the legality of cannabis in NYC and got to shooting a powerful yet simple set.” – Immigrant Stoner
